Non-Sequitous Segue?

It’s amazing how much my mother loves to talk about Jesus. Sometimes the simplest comment to her produces a vague inspiration to just burst forth with religious ramblings. No, she isn’t schizophrenic... although, I do have an Uncle Dick who thinks he’s Jesus.

Example:
Orbicon: Hi mom. How are you?
Momicon: Good! What are you doing?
Orbicon: Eating broccoli for lunch.
Momicon: Isn’t it wonderful how god takes care of you by creating such wonderful…..
Orbicon: Wha?!
Momicon: ::::::continues to Jesus banter::::::
Orbicon: Can I call you back?
